Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services-Defense has been awarded a four-year contract of approximately $100 Million to supply the Finnish Air Force (Ilmavoimat) with an airborne surveillance system and associated ground systems.

Under this contract, the company will modify an FAF EADS Airbus Military C-295M tactical transport aircraft to accommodate an advanced surveillance system. The contract includes also the delivery ground stations, and communications terminals to support the airborne system.

Patria Oy, Rockwell Collins, DRS Technologies Inc, Applied Signal Technology Inc, AdamWorks Inc and L-3 Communications will form part of the team to be led by Lockheed Martin.
