The first F/A-18F Super Hornet combat aircraft L-3 Link Simulation & Training Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT) to be delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) has achieved initial training capability status.

The company is under contract from Boeing Training Systems and Services to support the delivery of both training systems to RAAF Amberley airfield.

Each F/A-18F TOFT consists of independent cockpits and visual display systems for both the pilot and weapons sensor officer. These F/A-18F simulators will enable aircrews to undergo a full spectrum of advanced tactical training. The simulation package which feature SimuSphere visual display, SimuView image generator and simulated Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) helmet includes a fully integrated mission briefing and debriefing system.
