Kongsberg Defence Systems has been awarded a contract to deliver within a two-year period its ODIN artillery fire control system to Sweden and Norway. ODIN will be integrated on the FH77 BW L52 ARCHER 155mm self-propelled artillery gun systems procured by both countries.

In March 2010, BAE Systems Global Combat Systems has been awarded a US$200 Million contract by Norwegian FLO (Forsvarets Logistikk Organisasjon) and Swedish FMV (Försvarets Materiel Verk) procurement agencies to produce 24 BAE Systems Bofors AB FH77 BW L52 ARCHER systems to each countries as well as a total of 48 trucks based ammunition handling systems.

The 33 Tonnes protected weapon system is based on a modified Volvo AB A30E 6×6 commercial articulated truck which is fitted with the FH77 B05 L52 155mm cannon and armed with a remotely operated weapon station for self protection.
