Swedish trucks manufacturer Scania AB will supply a total of 119 tactical trucks in various configurations to Sweden and Luxembourg.

According an agreement signed with the NAMSA (NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency), the Luxembourg Army (Armée luxembourgeoise/Lëtzebuerger Arméi) will receive next year 31 G480 8×8 tactical trucks in two configurations, 28 fitted with a hooklift bodywork and three with recovery body.

13 vehicles will be fitted with a new upgraded ballistic protection system to be provided by the Swedish company Åkers Krutbruk Protection AB said Scania AB spokesperson to PoADU.

The order from Swedish FMV (Försvarets Materielverk) procurement agency includes the supply of 80 G400 6×2 logistics vehicles with hooklift bodywork (including four driver training vehicles) and eight P400 8×2 trucks with crane and platform bodywork. Deliveries to the Swedish customer are scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
