Navistar Defense LLC has received a US$97 Million order from the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command. The contract include 265 troop transport vehicles based on the 7000-MV vehicle , 160 buses and 829 protection kits for MaxxPro MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) 4×4 armoured vehicles currently in service in Afghanistan.

Troop transport vehicles will support Afghan National Police (ANP) and Afghan National Army (ANA) security missions. Buses will transport Afghan troops and equipment throughout the country.

Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled to begin in the fall of 2011 and be completed by the fall of 2012. RPG nets will be delivered by summer 2011.
