Oshkosh Defense will deliver to the Iraqi Army 60 Heavy M1070A1 HET (Heavy Equipment Transporter) 8×8 tactical tractor trucks and King Vehicle Engineering Ltd GTS100 trailers.

The fleet will probably be used to transport the 140 General Dynamics Land Systems M1A1 SA (Situational Awareness) Abrams battle tanks procured by Iraq as well infantry fighting vehicles and 155mm self-propelled howitzers.

The contract to be completed in May 2011, is valued at more than $40 Million and was received through the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC). The package includes training, spare parts and technical manuals.
