The Portuguese UCC (Unidade de Controlo Costeiro) naval coastal control police force are to receive soon three of the eight surveillance systems procured to Spanish company INDRA Sistemas SA as part of the SIVICC (Sistema Integrado de Vigilância Comando e Controlo) integrated coastal surveillance system project. The remaining five systems are to be delivered until March of 2011.

SIVICCs system includes land based fixed positions as well as mobile surveillance systems which are composed by a Terma AS SCANTER 2001 surveillance radar integrated on a shelter which is carried by a Iveco EUROCARGO 150E2B 4×4 tactical truck.

UCC is part of Portuguese Republican National Guard (Guarda Nacional Republicana-GNR) which is under control of the interior ministry MAI (Ministério da Administração Interna).
